Research Description

Transcriptional mechanisms that regulate blood cell (granulocyte/eosinophil) lineage-specific development and gene expression during hematopoiesis. Cellular, molecular and immunobiology of the eosinophil granulocyte, focusing on pro-inflammatory effector functions in the pathogenesis of asthma and other allergic diseases such as eosinophilic esophagitis - mechanisms of eosinophil-mediated tissue damage, repair-remodeling and fibrosis are being investigated.
